Anders was born in Madison and was raised in DeForest. She lives with her family in Los Angeles. She has graduated from DeForest Area High School in DeForest, Wisconsin in 1993 She also earned the Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 1997.
